Political strategy for advocacy organisations preparing for the 2026 Victorian State Election.
Four years as a Member of theVictorian Parliament. Twenty years in the not-for-profit sector. I’ve been on both sides of the table.
What I do
I help advocacy organisations engage strategically in politics, especially during election cycles, when the stakes and the opportunities are highest.
That means sharpening your positioning, mapping the people who matter, identifying your strongest moves, and building a plan you can actually execute in the time you have.
I understand how decisions are made. What moves MPs and what doesn’t. And the gap between what advocacy organisations think influences government and what actually does.
I help organisations turn clarity into influence.
2026 Victorian State Election
Most people think election commitments are made during the campaign. They’re not. They’re being shaped right now, in conversations between MPs, advisers, and the organisations that show up early with clear asks and credible positioning. By the time the campaign starts, most of the important decisions have already been made. If you’re not in those conversations now, you’re already behind.
Election years create leverage that doesn’t exist at any other time. Governments are more responsive. Policy commitments become negotiable. Media attention intensifies. For organisations working on social change, this is a window, if you know how to use it.
I’m offering a limited number of Election Advisory Intensives; rapid strategy engagements designed to give your organisation clarity, focus, and a concrete plan of action in 2–3 weeks.
What you get:
Strategic positioning for the election window
Stakeholder and MP mapping, who matters, how they think, when to approach them
Three priority actions with timing and tactical guidance
Messaging framework for external communications and internal alignment
Risk assessment and decision-making support
Follow-up call two weeks after delivery
Timeline: 2–3 weeks
Who is this for?
I work with organisations across social justice, human rights, community services, and systemic reform, particularly in areas I know well: multicultural affairs, family violence prevention, women’s rights, women’s health, child and family welfare, disability advocacy, and environmental action.
If you want to use this election strategically, we should talk.
